Please try the following: domingo, noviembre 21, 2004Okay, isa pa uling heartbreaking story. This time about a kid who lost his pet frog. He wanted to get it back and hung flyers just like this one: Some little boy out there must have been crying looking for his pet, screaming "Hopkin Green Frog, where are you?" Said pet later turned out to be a McDonald's toy. The story grew and got passed around the internet, and even appeared in a US daily. Little by little, details about Hopkin Green Frog started to surface. Somebody searched for a similar toy over Ebay and wanted to give it to the owner, who was actually a sixteen year old autistic boy. But the boy's father did not want a replacement. He said the boy had already forgotten about his "dead" pet frog, and reintroducing a new "live" one would reopen his grief and all that. So that's the story of Hopkin Green Frog. [Much of this has been cribbed from Boingboing and Metafilter and all the other blogs who carried this meme.] Cannot Find Server at kantogirl 11:21 p. m. |
